Neurodivergence
I work in a neurodiversity-affirming way:
• non-pathologising and acceptance-based
• flexible around pace, communication, and processing
• attentive to emotional and relational safety
• grounded in warmth, respect, and collaboration
Therapy is shaped around you - not the other way around.
What is neurodivergence?
Neurodivergence describes natural differences in how people think, feel, process information, and experience the world. This can include autism, ADHD, AuDHD and other forms of cognitive difference. Being neurodivergent isn’t something that needs to be fixed. Many of the difficulties people experience come from living in a world that isn’t always designed with neurodivergent minds in mind.
Many neurodivergent people spend years adapting, explaining, or hiding parts of themselves in order to cope or belong. Therapy can be a space where that effort can soften. You don’t need to perform, make eye contact, or express yourself in a particular way. You’re welcome to take time, pause, think things through, or speak in whatever way feels natural to you.
You might come to therapy because you:
• are wondering whether you’re neurodivergent
• have a recent or late diagnosis
• feel exhausted from masking or people-pleasing
• have experienced trauma related to being misunderstood or not believed
• want to understand yourself with more kindness
